Reporting to the Team Lead, the Energy Efficiency Technical Expert acts as a technical reference within the team for mandates related to building energy performance optimization, system recommissioning, and energy audits.
With 7 to 10 years of experience, they provide their expertise to project managers and analysts to support them in the analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and implementation of energy efficiency solutions. While not responsible for project management or client relations, the Expert acts as a key technical resource and point of contact when mandates involve complex issues or require in-depth expertise.
In addition to contributing directly to technical analyses and interventions, they play an important role in knowledge transfer, skills development, and the evolution of internal practices. Through their experience and ability to explain complex concepts, they help the entire team grow and strengthen TST’s expertise in energy efficiency.
As an ambassador of TST’s values—innovation, respect, performance, and professionalism—they contribute to developing a culture of technical excellence and positioning TST as a partner in sustainable energy performance.
The Technical Energy Efficiency Expert works on building energy performance optimization projects, providing in-depth technical expertise to project teams.
They analyze mechanical, electrical, and control systems, conduct investigations and energy audits, validate analyses and recommendations produced by teams, and assist in resolving complex technical issues. They also contribute to retro-commissioning activities, functional and performance testing, and the monitoring of energy efficiency measures.
In collaboration with project managers, they act as a technical support and validation resource, providing professional judgment when required and proposing concrete solutions tailored to the realities of buildings and their operations.
The Expert also plays a key role in developing internal expertise by mentoring less experienced staff, sharing knowledge, developing tools and methods, and disseminating best practices.
