Overview of ADF Group: 630,000 sq. ft. facility, over 700 employees, steel structure manufacturing, based in Terrebonne.

Challenge

Faced with an air quality problem in its factory, the ADF Group needed to increase its fresh air flow. However, without energy savings measures, such a transition can represent a significant increase in energy costs.

The ADF Group therefore called on the services of TST so that our expert teams could guide them throughout the process of reducing its energy bill and its GHG emissions.

IMPLEMENTED SOLUTION

TST carried out an energy analysis in order to model the current and future needs of the ADF Group plant and to propose various energy saving measures. In particular, our teams proposed the installation of solar walls for the preheating of fresh air, the recovery of heat from the exhaust air, the optimization of operational sequences, and several other initiatives.

TST then assisted the company in the selection of measures, implementation, performance verification, then energy monitoring and the management of financial support during the five years of implementation. This long-term project is concrete proof of the support offered by the TST teams during each project decision making.

ReSULTs

  • $1.4 million in subsidies
  • Energy savings of over $360k per year
  • 5-year return on investment (PRI) period
  • Improving air quality for staff
  • Improvement of environmental conditions
  • Increased recognition and pride in talent thanks to impact actions
Summary of key energy efficiency results: $1.4M in energy subsidies, $360k in annual energy savings, and a 5-year return on investment.

Conclusion

Thanks to these services, the ADF Group was able to save 2,250 tons of GHGs per year by reducing the consumption of natural gas for air treatment.

TST has therefore become an essential partner for industrial companies by supporting them in each of the decisions that have punctuated their ecological transition.

testimony

“The TST team was able to offer us effective solutions adapted to our reality. They allowed us to optimize our systems, allowing us to seek significant financial gains in addition to improving our energy and environmental performance.

This positive experience led to the creation of a great relationship of trust and TST is now an important partner in our sustainable transition. ”
