Role

The Recommissioning Project Manager plays a critical role in coordinating and overseeing all activities related to the return to service of mechanical, electrical and control systems, to ensure that they operate according to initial specifications and that they optimize energy efficiency. He maintains fluid and proactive communication with all stakeholders (customers, subcontractors, engineers), oversees functional and performance tests, and ensures that the project meets the deadlines and budget allocated. By quickly identifying dysfunctions or inefficiencies, he proposes concrete solutions and writes detailed reports to ensure total transparency on the status of the project. Thanks to his technical expertise and his ability to solve complex problems, he contributes directly to the improvement of system performance and the success of projects, while embodying TST's values of innovation, respect, performance and professionalism.

The main areas of responsibility

Performance:

Closely monitor the performance of projects in terms of budget, deadlines and quality. Quickly identify discrepancies, adjust actions accordingly and communicate results transparently to stakeholders, in particular to the Department Manager.

Human resource:

Promote a harmonious and collaborative work atmosphere by relying on cohesion, mutual assistance and open and sincere communication between all the people involved in the projects, while respecting the roles of each.

Customer:

Ensure proactive management of the customer experience by ensuring that expectations are exceeded, which results in high satisfaction, increased loyalty and a higher recommendation rate. Work closely with customers to anticipate their needs and resolve any concerns quickly.

Development:

Encourage team members to be involved in their own development and to acquire new skills. Facilitate this progress by capitalizing on their strengths and supporting them in achieving their potential, while working under the direction of the Department Manager.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Recommissioning Project Manager are as follows.

Project management and planning:

  • Develop, plan and rigorously monitor all the projects under his responsibility, ensuring effective coordination of activities to meet the defined objectives.
  • Carefully monitor performance indicators (budget, hours worked, schedule) to ensure the achievement of the objectives of each project, and make proactive adjustments when necessary.
  • Plan human, material and financial resources in an optimal manner to ensure the smooth execution of projects on time and on budget.
  • Proactively identify potential risks that may affect the implementation of the project, assess their impact and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their effects.
  • Monitor the progress of the project compared to the initial plan and quickly identify discrepancies, while implementing corrective actions to remedy delays, additional costs or other problems encountered.
  • Control costs throughout the project, ensuring that defined budget limits are respected and by managing unexpected expenses in a way that minimizes their impact on the overall budget.
  • Provide regular performance reports to internal and external stakeholders, thus ensuring total transparency on the status of projects.
  • Finalize all tasks associated with the project by ensuring that all initial goals have been achieved and organize a retrospective to draw useful lessons for future projects.

Investigation:

  • Offer rigorous technical support throughout the project, by analyzing the technical problems encountered and by proposing solutions.
  • Conduct detailed technical surveys of mechanical, electrical and control systems in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of system performance and propose innovative measures to optimize their efficiency.
  • Conduct and validate energy assessments to assess the performance of systems after being put back into service.
  • Calculate and validate the savings generated by the energy efficiency measures put in place, as well as the potential subsidies associated with each measure.
  • Make accurate estimates of costs, time and resources to anticipate needs at each stage of the project.
  • Evaluate and validate the costs associated with implementing energy efficiency measures taking into account potential savings.

Implantation:

  • Ensure continuous technical support, carry out regular follow-ups and control the quality of the measures implemented.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with the various contractors to ensure the efficient execution of the work.

Training and knowledge transfer:

  • Ensure the training of technical teams on the new methods and tools used in the framework of the commissioning project, in order to ensure their proper understanding and application.
  • Transfer the knowledge acquired throughout the project to ensure the sustainability of the results obtained and improve future performances.

Energy monitoring:

  • Perform energy monitoring after commissioning, identify anomalies and propose corrective measures to maintain optimal performance.
  • Present detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders, explaining the progress of the project and the results achieved in terms of energy efficiency.

Technical reports:

  • Write and validate detailed technical reports, including the results of analyses, tests and surveys carried out.
  • Effectively communicate technical results and analyses to stakeholders through clear reports and summary presentations.

Communication and coordination:

  • Ensure proactive and effective communication between all stakeholders (customers, subcontractors, engineers, technicians) to ensure harmonious coordination of activities.
  • Manage the project schedule while ensuring compliance with deadlines and budgetary constraints, identifying potential risks and proposing adjustments when necessary.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, based on open and transparent communication, and respond quickly to their concerns while keeping them informed of the progress of the project.

Participation in business development:

  • Contribute to the growth of the company by identifying opportunities for additional mandates with current customers, and by proposing development paths to strengthen customer relationships.

Related tasks:

  • Perform any other related tasks related to the responsibilities of the position or as assigned by the manager, supporting the overall goals of the projects and the company.
